How to get started with Edform

Sign up as a teacher with Google or your email, tell Edform which language and school system you teach in, and you land on your dashboard. From there you can add a class, make your first test and give it to students in a few minutes.

How to get started with Edform

Create your free teacher account

  1. Step 1: Open the sign-up page

Go to edform.com and press “Get started free” at the top of the page.

  2. Step 2: Choose “I'm a teacher”

The page asks “Who are you?”. Pick “I'm a teacher” to get the teacher tools: lessons, tests, classes and results.

  3. Step 3: Sign up with your school account or email

Press “Continue with Google” to use your school account. Or type your “First name”, “Last name”, “Email address” and a “Password” of at least 8 characters, then press “Create account”.

  4. Step 4: Verify your email address

If you signed up with an email address, a banner at the top asks you to verify it. Open the link in the email we sent you, or press “Resend link” if it didn't arrive.

Answer two quick questions

  1. Step 1: Pick the language of your materials

On “Welcome to Edform!”, choose the “Language of your materials”. AI tools write lesson plans, quizzes and other materials in this language.

  2. Step 2: Choose your school system and press “Continue”

Pick your “School system” so materials use the right grades, grading scale and curriculum terms. Under “Emails from Edform”, tick the emails you want: practical tips about once a week, and offers such as free Pro for inviting teachers. You can change this any time in Settings → Emails. Press “Continue” to open your dashboard.

Find your way around the dashboard

  1. Step 1: Start something new

The cards at the top start the main things you make: “Make a lesson”, “Make a test”, “Make a video lesson” and “Make a worksheet”. Below them are “Create with AI”, “Classroom screen” and “Find ready-made” for materials shared by other teachers.

  2. Step 2: Follow the “Get started” checklist

On the right, “Get started” lists the first things to try: “Add your class”, “Make your first test”, “Try an AI tool”, “Open a classroom screen”, “Give a test to students” and “Share something in the library”. Each item is a link, and it ticks itself off when you've done it.

  3. Step 3: Use the menu

The menu on the left has “Dashboard” and “My library” at the top, then “Assign & teach” (Lessons, Tests, Worksheets, Videos, Courses), “Students” (Classes, Assignments, Results), “Tools” (AI tools, Classroom screens, Classroom tools) and “School & community” (Community library, Flyers, Invite teachers). On a phone, the main sections are tabs at the bottom of the screen.

Your first ten minutes

  3. Step 3: Give it to your students

In the test, press “Use with class” and choose “Homework”. Students join with a code, a link or a QR code — no email needed.
