Classroom scoreboard — free online team score keeper

A classroom scoreboard keeps team points big and visible during quizzes, review games and team challenges, so you can put the whiteboard marker down. Name up to eight teams, give each a color and add points with large +1, +5 and −1 buttons, or press the team’s number on the keyboard. Choose a simple points board, a two-team home vs away board, or a race where a rocket, turtle, car or horse moves towards the points needed to win. The leading team gets a crown, and teams and scores stay saved in your browser if the page reloads.

How to use it

  1. 1Choose Points, Home vs away or Race, then type the team names and pick their colors.
  2. 2Add points with the big buttons, or press 1–8 on the keyboard (Shift takes one away).
  3. 3Press Full screen to show it on the board; reset the scores when the game ends.

Ideas for your classroom

  • Keep score in a team review game before a test.
  • Run a race to 20 points for correct answers in a vocabulary quiz.
  • Track table or house points through the week.
  • Use Home vs away for a class debate or a two-team PE game.
  • Add a +10 button for bonus rounds and tricky questions.

Questions teachers ask

Is the scoreboard free?

Yes. It’s free, with no account and nothing to install.

How many teams can I have?

From two to eight teams. Home vs away uses two.

Can I add more than one point at a time?

Yes. Every team has a +5 button, and you can add an extra button of any size, such as +10.

Can I take points away?

Yes, with the −1 button or Shift plus the team’s number.

Will I lose the scores if the page reloads?

No. Teams and scores are saved in this browser until you reset them.

How does the race work?

Set the points needed to win. Each team’s rocket, turtle, car or horse moves closer with every point, and the first team to reach the goal wins.
