What is a provincial assessment practice generator?

A provincial assessment practice generator writes original items in the style of a Canadian provincial test, tied to your grade and subject. Add a topic or paste a text, then choose the assessment and up to 25 items. EQAO practice uses multiple choice and open responses linked to Ontario Curriculum expectations, scored on the four-level achievement chart. OSSLT practice includes reading selections and a short writing task. Alberta practice uses multiple choice and numerical response, Québec practice uses competency-based tasks with evaluation criteria, and BC practice uses context-rich numeracy and literacy tasks. Every set has an answer key and a scoring guide for open responses. Edit it, adjust it, then print or download it.

Questions teachers ask

Are these official EQAO sample tests?

No. Edform writes new practice items in the style of provincial assessments. They are not official sample or released tests, and Edform is not affiliated with EQAO or any ministry of education.

Is the provincial assessment practice generator free?

Yes. Create a free Edform account to use it. The free plan includes a few AI runs every month, and Pro adds more if you create a lot.

Which assessments can I practise for?

EQAO (Ontario grades 3, 6 and 9), the OSSLT, Alberta Provincial Achievement Tests and Diploma Exams, Québec ministerial exams and BC Graduation Assessments.

Does it include a scoring guide?

Yes. Every set has an answer key, and open-response items get a scoring guide, using the achievement chart levels for Ontario.

Can I edit, download or print the questions?

Yes. Edit any part by hand, or use one-click changes: Harder, Easier, More tasks, Add solutions or Three difficulty levels. You can also describe your own change. Then copy it into Google Docs, download a Word file or print it.

How accurate are the questions and answers?

The AI drafts and you review. The questions follow the exam's style, but always check answers, marks and wording against your province's curriculum and assessment documents before using them with students.
