What is an AI quiz generator?
An AI quiz generator writes quiz questions for you from a topic or from your own material. In Edform you type a topic or add a text, a file (PDF, Word or PowerPoint), photos of a textbook page, a web page or a YouTube video. Then choose 3 to 30 questions, the difficulty and the question types: one or several correct answers, mixed types, or interactive ones like ordering, matching and fill in the blanks. You get a quiz with the right answers marked and, if you like, a short explanation for each. Edit any question by hand or ask the AI to replace it or make it easier or harder. Then download it, print it, or save it as an activity to assign or play as a game.

Questions teachers ask
Is it free?
Yes. Create a free Edform teacher account and generate quizzes at no cost. There's no credit card and no paywall, just a fair daily usage limit.
What question types can I use?
Single-answer and multiple-answer choice, true/false, short answer and numeric answers, plus interactive types such as ordering, matching, fill in the blanks, drop-downs, sorting into categories and true/false grids.
Can I make a quiz from a PDF or a YouTube video?
Yes. Upload a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file or up to five photos, or paste a web page or YouTube link. For a video, the questions are based on what's said in it.
Are the questions always correct?
The AI writes a first draft and you stay in charge. Read the questions before you use them: edit any of them by hand, or ask the AI to replace a question, make it easier or harder, or add an explanation.
Can students take the quiz online or play it as a game?
Yes. Click "Save as activity" to turn the result into an Edform quiz. Then assign it as homework with automatic grading, run a live quiz game in class, or play it as a quiz board or another game mode.
Can I print it or download it?
Yes. Download a Word file or PowerPoint slides, or print it and save it as PDF. The printout has a name line for students and the answer key on a separate page, and you can print two variants.
