Substitute day toolkit for grades 6–8

Use this screen when you have a substitute teacher in grades 6–8. It keeps your students informed and on track, even if you are away.

Students see today's plan, a checklist of what to do, a real-time clock, and reminders for respectful behavior. The name picker helps everyone participate fairly.

Free for teachers. Your screens, classes and uploads are saved to your account.

  • Add visual cues or extra reminders for students with special needs.

Questions teachers ask

How much should I fill in before I’m absent?

Set up the schedule, checklist, and instructions in advance. The substitute can update the checklist with student input.

Can students use the checklist themselves?

Yes, students can come up to the board and check off completed steps, or the substitute can do it as the class progresses.

What if the substitute isn’t familiar with the tools?

Leave simple instructions in the text widget so it’s easy for any substitute to follow along.
