Would you rather questions for kids — class vote on the board

Would you rather questions get every student talking. Put one on the board as two big choices, let the class vote by tapping a side for each raised hand, and watch the percentages grow; then ask “Why did you choose that?” for a quick speaking or writing task. There are 72 questions for kids in six sets (fun, school, food, animals, superpowers and think deeper) and questions don’t repeat until a set is used up. You can also type your own, like “read the book | watch the movie” for your topic.

How to use it

  1. 1Choose a question set or type your own questions.
  2. 2Show a question; tap a side for each vote, or use keys 1 and 2.
  3. 3Ask students to explain their choice, then go to the next question.

Ideas for your classroom

  • Start the morning with a would you rather question.
  • Practise giving reasons in speaking and writing.
  • Use it as a quick brain break between lessons.
  • Write topic questions, like “live in ancient Rome | ancient Egypt”.

Are the questions suitable for kids?
