True or false game — questions for the classroom, free

This true or false game puts one statement at a time on the classroom screen. The class decides — by a show of hands, standing up for true and sitting down for false, or with cards — and you press True or False to record the class’s answer, then the correct answer and a short explanation appear. Play the ready-made general-knowledge questions or type your own true or false questions, one per line, as “statement | true” or “statement | false” with an optional explanation. The game counts the points, shows the final score and shuffles the statements for the next round. It is a quick way to check facts and spark discussion about why a statement is false.

How to use it

  1. 1Use the example questions or type “statement | true / false | why”.
  2. 2Show a statement and let the class decide.
  3. 3Reveal the answer and the explanation, then go to the next one.

Ideas for your classroom

  • Start a topic by finding out what the class already believes.
  • Review facts before a test with an explanation for each answer.
  • Run a movement break: stand up for true, sit down for false.
  • Spark discussion: ask students to correct each false statement.
