Multiplication chart — interactive and printable, up to 20×20

A multiplication chart is the times table grid every class uses, and this one is interactive. Put it on the board and tap any square: the row and column light up and the fact appears in big numbers, like 7 × 8 = 56. Hide all the answers and let students reveal them one by one as they practise, highlight one times table, or mark the square numbers to talk about patterns. Choose a 10×10, 12×12, 15×15 or 20×20 chart. When you need paper, print the filled multiplication chart for desks and folders, or a blank chart students fill in themselves.

How to use it

  1. 1Pick the chart size and, if you like, a times table to highlight.
  2. 2Tap squares on the board, or hide the answers and let students reveal them.
  3. 3Print a filled chart for reference or a blank one to fill in.

Ideas for your classroom

  • Look for patterns in the 9 times table or the square numbers on the board.
  • Warm up with quick-fire facts: tap a square, the class answers before it shows.
  • Give every student a printed multiplication chart for their maths folder.
  • Check times tables knowledge with a blank chart to fill in.

Questions teachers ask

Is the multiplication chart free?

You can try it free without an account. After a few uses a free Edform teacher account keeps it unlimited, with no credit card.

Can I print a multiplication chart?

Yes. Print the filled chart as a reference sheet, or a blank chart with a name line for students to complete. Save it as a PDF from the print window if you prefer.

Which sizes are there?

10×10, 12×12, 15×15 and 20×20. The 12×12 chart covers the tables most curricula expect.

How do students practise with it?

Turn on “Hide answers”: every square shows a question mark until it is tapped, so students say the fact first and then check it.

Can students practise times tables on their own devices?

Yes, in Edform: make a quiz of facts and students practise it as a game on their own devices, with every answer saved for you.
