Charades generator — random words for charades and Pictionary

A charades generator gives the next player a word in one tap. Choose a category written for kids (animals, actions, jobs, objects, sports, food or feelings) or type your own list, like this week’s vocabulary. The word stays hidden on the board until the player taps the card, so only they see it. Pick charades to act it out or Pictionary to draw it, set a turn timer, and play with up to four teams: “Got it!” adds a point and shows the next word, “Skip” moves on, and when time is up the next team plays. Words don’t repeat in a game.

How to use it

  1. 1Choose charades or Pictionary, the words and the number of teams.
  2. 2The player taps the card to see the word, then acts or draws it.
  3. 3Tap “Got it!” for a point or “Skip”; when time is up, the next team plays.

Questions teachers ask

Is the charades generator free?

Can I use my own words?

Yes. Choose “My words” and type words or phrases, one per line or separated by commas.

How does the class not see the word on the projector?

With “Hide the word” on, the card stays covered until the player taps it, and it covers itself again after each word.

Does it work for Pictionary?

Yes. Choose Pictionary: the same words, with “Draw it” instead of “Act it out”. Use the board or paper for drawing.

Are there more class games?

Yes, in Edform: any quiz plays as one of 27 game modes on the board or on students’ own devices.
