What is an AI text leveler?
An AI text leveler rewrites a text so students at a different reading level can understand it. In Edform, you paste a passage, upload a PDF or Word file, add photos of a page or a link to an article, and choose the readers: grades 1–2, 3–4, 5–6, 7–9 or 10–12, or plain language for students with special educational needs. Sentence length and vocabulary change to fit; the meaning, facts and key terms stay, with difficult terms explained in brackets. Three comprehension questions are added at the end. Make it simpler or shorter, or add examples, in one click, then print it, download it as a Word file, or create a quiz from it.
