Context clues may give the meaning (definition) of unfamiliar word. To get the definition of an unfamiliar word through context clues, study how it is used in the sentence. The words before or after an unfamiliar word will help you get its meaning. Example: The janitor in F. Serrano Elem. School labors 8 hours a day and went home very tired.
