Sleeping in a Capsule

In Japan, there are some unique hotels with very small rooms, known as capsules. Each capsule measures just 1 meter by 1 meter by 2 meters! Inside this tiny space, you will find a bed, a TV, and a lamp. However, there is no door, chair, or table. Each capsule has a mirror, but there isn't a private bathroom. Guests share a communal bathroom located outside the capsules.

If you need a place to store your clothes, wallet, or other personal items, you won't find a locker inside your capsule. Instead, there are lockers available in the hotel reception area for guests to use.

Capsule hotels offer a unique and compact way to stay in Japan, providing just the essentials in a very small space.
