How does AI analysis of student assessment data work?

Edform's results analysis reads the class scores you paste, such as totals or points per question copied from a spreadsheet or gradebook, or a document you upload. It reports the average, median, highest and lowest scores and a distribution in bands that follows your school system's grading scale, then names the strongest and weakest questions or skills, groups of students who need reteaching, more practice or extension, likely reasons for the gaps and concrete next steps. Ask your own question too, such as which skill to reteach first. It reports only numbers it can calculate from your data and says what it assumed. Click Step-by-step plan for a reteaching plan.

Questions teachers ask

What data can I paste?

Any table or list of scores: totals or points per question, copied from a spreadsheet or gradebook, or a PDF or Word document with the results.

Should I include student names?

No. Use initials or numbers. The analysis works just as well without personal data.

Will the AI make up numbers?

No. It reports only what can be calculated from your data and says what it assumed if something is unclear. Still, double-check key figures.

Can I ask my own question about the results?

Yes. Add a question, such as "Which skill should I reteach first?", and the analysis answers it.

Can I download the analysis?

Yes. Download it as Word, copy it or print it. Use Step-by-step plan to turn the findings into a reteaching plan.

Is it free?

Yes. Create a free Edform account: the free Basic plan includes 5 AI points a month, and each result or change uses one point. Pro gives you 300 points a month.
